Capitals Beat Bruins 2-1 in OT to Advance
Although Thomas made the initial stop, Ward was there for the rebound, and at 2:57 of overtime the Capitals ended the reign of the Stanley Cup champion Bruins with a 2-1 victory at TD Garden, winning the first-round series, 4-3.The Capitals got their first power-play of the game, at 11:00 of the third, after Patrice Bergeron received two minutes for hooking.
